I actually googled "baby spits up a lot"...and apparently ashtyn is just a happy spitter upper since she doesn't fuss or seem to be in any discomfort..so the site said that just means it is a laundry problem..and I agree because I changed four times today and had to change ashtyn' s outfits too..I am semi complaining because Maya spit up maybe five times total...so this has been quite the shock..it even got in ashtyn' s hair today..let's just say I smell amazing too..ha!

And today I introduced Maya to play dough..turned for one second and heard her say "yum"...Oh goodness...

my oh my oh my...

Had a family photo session...first clue things would get crazy was Maya refused to take a nap..so she was the most hyper I have ever seen and it led to: turning her head  when asked to look at the camera, refusing to sit up, not wanting to hold or be by ashtyn, Rolling around on her bed, instead of hugging her bear she bit his ear, we thought she would ride her rocking horse but she kept pretending to fall off it, crawling underneath the crib,climbing on the crib,throwing herself around when I had her sit on my lap, throwing her  books,screaming,crying,etc...I was sweating by the time we were done from trying to corral Maya and redirect her...i am very interested in seeing how these pics turn out..I hope I am surprised with a good shot of the girls together and a family pic..however,I do know ashtyn' s pics will be good.she didn't move at all..she did have her pacifier for a bit though and kept crying when we took it out...I started feeling bad because we kept taking it away from her too...sigghh...I guess I should learn that when it comes to kids, pics will be more of a surprise from now on....Oh, and Maya went to bed super early...I won that battle:)

A big birthday

I just can't believe Maya is 2...she has really been such a joy...some of her favorite things to do are wash dishes, spin around until she is dizzy, climb, eat doughnuts, earn stickers, watch little bear, play with cars, collect rocks, hop, etc....she likes to be silly and tell us what she thinks is funny..she wants to do so much on her own and exercise her opinions..she is a very helpful and thoughtful big sister..and I love when she asks for hugs..

Gosh it really is adorable how Maya is so concerned with her sis all the time..I think Ashtyn gets smothered with 100 kisses a day...and sometimes when Maya holds her she starts to fuss immediately..lil girl probably just wants some space..it makes me wonder if I was ever this loving and helpful to my own lil sis.....I doubt it..sorry about that carissa;)

holy moly

Separation anxiety is at an all time high with Maya.I had to literally run to the door to leave..she started flipping out when she saw me wear my shoes in the house even though I was still finishing making dinner. But she was happy when I came back with this table:

Also a nice change has been Maya' s interest in going on the potty..she tells me more now when she has to go and will also sit and try if I ask her...I even bought her underwear but she decided to pee on the floor while wearing them and it didn't bug her that they got wet..we will have to work on that concept...

We have been lucky to have grandma time all week! Tomorrow she heads back to Nebraska:( Check out the cake she made Maya for her birthday:

2 week appt. 8lbs 5.5 ounces..51 percentile..88 percentile for height...

And sis weighed in at 23.4 lbs on the scale at home..

And this odd fact:my baby girl has so much of my estrogen still that she can produce her own milk..the doc showed  me..so weird..

And she has the slightest Mongolian blue birthmark on her bum which is typical for Asian kiddos(I know u wanted to know that mom)...which Maya never had and I think Ashtyn has less Asian features than Maya..

Grandma came to town! I am glad Maya has gotten so much attention since I haven't been able to play with her like how I used to...

I got my root canal and thought that called for a strawberry milkshake:

This baby girl takes a bottle!!!!! Even from me!!!! And takes any type of pacifier we give her....this is huge....

And brad asked Maya if she wanted to try the bottle when Ashtyn was done:

MAi said it was good..yikes...
