labor day weekend

"Clean up on aisle 12..." yes,we caused that mess....a dozen eggs that Maya walked by and grabbed from the dairy section....oops....

We tried to wake up for the balloon launch today that was set for 7a.m....however, since Maya sleeps until 7 I couldn't bear to wake her up to get ready and leave by 630(actually I just was  so tired and told brad I wasn't waking up when the alarm went off:)We still headed  that way around 830 and we saw lots of balloons start to land:

(We had let our friend borrow this swing and when I got it back Maya thought it was the greatest thing ever..so I just let her play in it and pretend she is a baby..)

Poor lil girl is totally teething again...she has been running a fever and is congested...she also has been chewing on her fingers which she never does....I hope these top molars push through fast! 

it's that time of year...

Fball season has begun..siggghhhh..I enjoy watching a few games but not every single game that is played!My hubby is quite a fanatic of the sport....is it bad that I think watching so much fball is torture?!

I'm officially nesting..I cleaned  our loft area out and even lugged an old bookcase to the curb.I vacummed under my couch cushions....I want everything to be in order....Oh,and I called brad to tell him I'm totally nesting and his response was "I was on an important business call, could that be something you just text me next time?"..hahhahaah...oops...I guess  also at this time I need to reserve calls for serious things when he is working or he will think I'm going into labor each time...

recent developments

Well we went to lunch in Denver and when the waiter came to clear our plates Mai flipped out.She started screaming at the top of her lungs and crying. I thought this tantrum was because it was close to nap time and she wanted to eat more off daddy's plate?...turns out Maya still didn't like the plates being cleared when we went to breakfast after church...possessive much?

I am at week 32 and have developed allergies...so weird! My eyes are so itchy and I can't stop sneezing.I also can't stop inhaling anything chocolatey(that wives tale is true for me about sweets and having a girl)...

Maya says "house" and it sounds like she is saying @$$....my biggest fear with toddler talking has come true...having a word sound like she is cussing...eek...

grandma and grandpa:)

What a treat to have some grandma and  grandpa time this weekend! We even took them to Maya' s fave place...the mall.........she wanted to show them the train again.I think it is worth it now if I invest in buying a train..hahaha...We have to say goodbye tomorrow to grandma and grandpa and won't see  them again until Baby Vering arrives...I know Mai will miss playing catch with grandpa and cooking with grandma!!!

bday treats

Happy birthday to papa and happy 21 mo to Maya!!! Maya helped me pick out a card for bradley that cracked me up....there were other super cute happy bday to dad cards from daughter but, she wanted this one:

She also helped me make "Twinkie cake" and I would show you a pic but it is hideous..when I sliced it to make the layers it all fell apart...so when I put the top over the creme layer it looks like a mess of pieces just slapped back on...but made with love!!

Went to Wal-Mart and Maya also picked out a balloon for dad and her as well as new play shoes...I am pretty sure she loves her bday gift..my shoeaholic...

I am so excited that Maya is talking a ton now!However her fave word to say is "done" and today at church she kept signing and saying it..she really was ready to leave..silly girl..

30 weeks..this pic is deceiving..actually feeling the weight gain a lot and going to a chiropractor for relief....Oh and broke Maya' s bed frame at bedtime when we were sitting up reading her books..the headboard cracked...awesome!

summer days

my parents have spent 5 weeks out here and it seems like they just got here...these summer days flew by...I will miss my parents being two min away, having them tire Maya out at the park, eating dinner every night together, understanding Maya's language(half sign,half gibberish,some words:),being able to run errands by myself, and hearing Maya laugh all the time while playing with her popo and gungie...the nice thing is my dad will be back mid October to help me with Maya and the new baby..then both my parents will return for their winter break....I am thankful they are able to stay as long as they do for each vacation break...

We just got back from a nice overnight trip to Denver...at first I kept texting my dad asking how Maya was doing..she didn't ask for me at all and even took her regular afternoon nap.I thoroughly enjoyed having just hubby time with shopping and dining out. I can not express how relaxing it was to eat and chat without having to shovel my food in my mouth and keep Maya entertained at a restaurant.We went to this yummy place called tamayo and sat on their rooftop terrace...pure heaven....I did miss Maya a ton and once we got back I was greeted with a million "mama,mama,mama"....my lil clinger...

And just to let everyone know how interesting we are we were back at our hotel by 830 and watched Nebraska women's bowling(i will say there was NOTHING else on)...hahhahahaha...it put me to sleep but bradley just had to see if they would win the ncaa championship..really?!
